You may have seen some of our new fall advertising out in magazines, such as InStyle, Lucky and Marie Claire. Now we've relaunched a microsite that gives you a behind-the-scenes look into the shoot and a bunch of extras...
We were really lucky to assemble the crew that we did for the shoot. Although these people may not be household names, they are huge within the industry:
- Photographer: Pamela Hanson
- Makeup: Pati Dubroff
- Hair: Pasquale Ferrante
A lot of people write to us and ask about Mischa's wardrobe. The selections are from a combination of vintage and new designers - Twill 22, L.A.M.B., Project Alabama, Marc Jacobs, Dolce & Gabbana, Comme des Garcons. Mischa brought some of her own props, like a Hello Kitty CD case, clothes, and lollipops (the one in the Breast Cancer Awareness ad is hers). She loved a lot of the pieces from the shoot and they're now in her closet. She was recently in US Weekly wearing the same dress from the Microstretch shot (on bed playing with pics).
The weather during the shoot was challenging. It was rain, rain, and more rain - Los Angeles was getting near their record for rainfall set back in 1884. Luckily, most of the shoot took place inside the Chateau Marmont!
Mischa's mom and sister braved the rains to visit during the shoot. We had spaghetti bolonese for lunch and talked about how she would be filming "Decameron" with Hayden Christensen in Italy over the summer.
If you have a chance, check out the site (the title is linked above) and let everyone here know what you think!
